Burak Tansan is a Partner and Managing Director in the Istanbul Office of BCG and the Head of BCG Turkey.

He is a core member of BCG’s Financial Services, Strategy and Global Advantage Practices and the Topic Leader for Global Advantage in BCG's Italian – Greek – Turkish (IGT) System.

Mr. Tansan has over 17 years of strategy project experience, including 7+ years of senior management experience at leading Turkish Companies and extensive experience in Management Consulting and strategy development. Prior to establishing BCG Turkey, Mr. Tansan was the Executive Vice President in charge of Strategy and Corporate Communications at Akbank.  Burak Tansan has also held Board Membership Positions at two Turkish Companies.

Burak Tansan holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude in Business Administration, from Boston University and is the President of the Harvard Business School Turkey Alumni Association.


Levent Erden was born in 1957. After graduating from Galatasaray University he went on to complete an MBA at Boğaziçi University.

He then embarked on a career in advertising, working for three years at the McCann agency. He worked in both France and Turkey in rotation in order to establish L'Oreal Turkey's operations, and became the first Turkish executive of L'Oreal.

He was the country manager for PepsiCo International during the period when the company was the market leader.

Since then, he has served in almost all executive positions related to marketing and communications.

He established his own marketing consultancy to serve companies such as Procter & Gamble, Lyons-Tetley and Merlin Gerin.

As part of the Bilgi group he served as the CEO of Aktif TV, which took over the daytime broadcast of ATV following its establishment, and led Turkey's first interactive TV testing.

He contributed to the founding of Bilgi University and is also a founding partner of the Havas Worldwide Turkey group.

For Bilgi University's MBA and e-MBA programs he teaches courses on marketing, integrated marketing communication, advertising and consumer behavior.

Over the past 15 years, he has been writing a book based on his talks in domestic and international conferences, courses and discussions. 


Fatoş Karahasan is a Faculty Member in the Advertising Department of Bilgi University's Department of Communication. She teaches the Integrated Marketing Communication, Digital Marketing, Communication Skills and Current Topics in Advertising courses. She is the writer of the "Brands-Trends" column in Milliyet newspaper and the "Marketing" section of Capital magazine.

Karahasan started her career in 1989 as the Director of Business Development at Fine Arts Saatchi&Saatchi Advertising Agency. She worked there until 2000, collaborating with brands like Procter & Gamble, Fiat, Philips, Arçelik, Milliyet, Radikal, Posta, Beko, Toys ‘R Us, Kent, Alarko, HP, British Airways, BAT, İstikbal and TEB. In 1995, she was promoted to General Director. After serving as the CEO of D'Arcy Istanbul from 2000 to 2002, she decided to continue her career as a consultant.

During the past 9 years, she created brand management projects and training programs for companies active in the food, furniture, home decoration, construction, clothing, media, finance and retail industries. She served as moderator and presenter at many conferences. She has held presentations in provinces throughout Anatolia as part of Capital and Ekonomist magazines' "Anatolian Brands" project.

Hundreds of her articles have been published in magazines and newspapers. She translated the books "Advertising" and "Political Marketing" from French to Turkish. She has also published a book titled, "How Do You Get Rid of Mediocre Advertisements?"  Her book "When The Pieces Move: The Rules of Digital Marketing" was published by Doğan Kitap. 

She received her high school diploma from Maine Township High School West in Des Plaines, Illinois, and went on to graduate from Hacettepe University. She also holds a doctorate degree from Manchester University.


With his academic background and high referrals in Strategic Communication and Reputation Management, Salim Kadibesegil, leads Corporate Reputation Management to generate awareness and have a place in our country. Between the years of 1999-2004 Salim represented Turkey as a Board member of International Communication Consultancy Association,ICCO, based in London. He was also a consultant for one of Turkey’s top management magazines’, Capital, “Most Admired Companies” and “Corporate Social Responsibility” research projects. Salim  represented Turkey in “The Reputation Institute”, centered in New York. He has an active chair in Turkish Corporate Governance  Association, Bugday Ecological Transformation Association. His company Orsa Strategic Communication Consultancy, is also a member of Global Reporting Initiative.He has been a faculty member at the School of Communications, Bahcesehir University,Istanbul/Turkey since 2008.
